About us
We are a team that believes language is the first step towards a good life in a new country.
GenieUs started from a simple question: how can we help people who come to work in Romania feel at home sooner? Our answer was language. When you can greet a colleague, ask something in a shop or understand an instruction at work, everything becomes easier — and work becomes safer.
What we do
We build a Romanian language programme designed for working people: short lessons on the phone, with real-life situations — the first day at work, shopping, the doctor, paperwork. Every lesson has dialogues with Darius and Maria, natural voices, exercises and a short test. Explanations appear in the learner's language, so nobody falls behind because they did not understand the task.
For employers, we make the hard part simple: hours are measured automatically and correctly, every week is clearly visible, and documents for inspections are ready at any time.
What we believe in
- Respect for the learner. Learning should be enjoyable, not a chore. We treat every learner as an adult with a full life.
- Fairness. What we measure is exactly what happened. We do not inflate hours and we do not hide missed weeks.
- Clarity. The employer sees every week where each person is, without complicated reports.
- Data protection. Learners' data is stored encrypted and used only for the programme.
The team
We are Romanian language teachers, people who have worked with multicultural teams, and developers. We keep creating new lessons, so the programme grows together with the learners.

GenieUs English
Behind GenieUs is the team of GenieUs English®, the English language school founded by Manuela Albu, with 18 years of experience and more than 1,200 learners trained. We are an authorised Cambridge English preparation and exam centre and a British Council Premium member (Advantage programme). We teach children, adults and companies, online and face to face, from Pre-A1 to C2.
GenieUs grew out of this experience: the same care for simple explanations, brought to the phone, for anyone who wants to learn. On the platform you will find both the Romanian course and the English course. More about the school: cursurilimbaengleza.ro.
