How it works

The company journey from account to certificate, what every learner gets, and how you can learn on your own, Romanian or English.

For companies

From account to certificate, in five steps

We provide the course, the measurement of hours and the documents; you see everything from a single account.

  1. 1

    Create your company account

Enter your company tax ID (CUI) and the details are filled in automatically from ANAF. Upload the required documents; we check them and activate the account.

    Create account
  2. 2

    Choose a package and pay

Access is paid per learner: monthly or the full 6-month programme. Pay by card or bank transfer; the invoice is issued automatically. For large teams, request a quote.

  3. 3

    Add your learners

One by one or from an Excel list you send us. Each learner receives login details in their own language and can start on their very first day at work.

The learners list in the company account: status, this week's hours and completed weeks
  4. 4

    Track the hours every week

The company dashboard shows who already has the 6 hours, who is behind and who missed a week. Every Monday you get an email summary, and expiring access is flagged in good time.

The company dashboard: active learners, the current week and learners by status
  5. 5

    Documents and the certificate

For an inspection you always have the attendance report for any period and the hours summary. After 26 completed weeks, the learner receives the completion certificate, with a QR code that can be verified online.

For learners

An app made for working people

Short lessons, a little every day. On the home screen, the learner sees how many hours they have done this week and how many are left until 6.

Every lesson has four steps:

  1. 1Lesson
  2. 2Pronunciation
  3. 3Exercises
  4. 4Test
The learner's home screen: this week's hours and completed weeks A lesson: the dialogue with the translation in the learner's language

On the phone, any time

The app opens in the browser and can be installed on the phone's home screen. No app store needed.

Explanations in their language

Instructions, translations and grammar appear in more than 20 languages, from Nepali and Hindi to Vietnamese and Arabic.

Romanian, with natural voices

Real-life dialogues with Darius and Maria: the first day at work, the shop, the doctor, paperwork.

Pronunciation check

The learner says the sentence and the app shows whether they pronounced it correctly. The recording is not kept.

The "My Romanian" dictionary

Useful words and phrases with pronunciation, searchable in their language or in Romanian; favourites work offline too.

Hours, measured accurately

Time counts only while the learner is actually working in the lessons. Breaks and inactivity are not counted.

For individuals

Learn for yourself, not just for the law

The platform is not only for companies. Anyone who wants to learn Romanian or deepen their knowledge can create an account, without an employer.

  1. 1

    Create a personal account

Choose "Individual" when registering and fill in your billing details.

  2. 2

    Choose the right programme

Self-study on the platform, live lessons in a small group, or private lessons with a teacher.

  3. 3

    Learn at your own pace

The same app, the same lessons and the same dictionary, without the reporting obligations of companies.

GenieUs English®

And English, for everyone

Behind GenieUs is the team of GenieUs English, the English language school with 18 years of experience, for children, adults and companies. The same platform also has the English course: the same short lessons on the phone, with native voices and explanations in Romanian.

  • Authorised Cambridge English preparation and exam centre
  • British Council Premium member (Advantage programme)
  • More than 1,200 learners trained; 100% pass rate at Cambridge and IELTS exams
  • General and Business English, online or face to face, from Pre-A1 to C2

Study time, in short

  • Time counts only while the learner is actually working in the lessons: the page is open and they are active. If they stop, the count stops too.
  • Every week (Monday to Sunday) needs 6 hours. A week with 6 hours is "completed"; after 26 completed weeks, the programme is finished.
  • Reviewing lessons already completed is welcome, but it does not count.
  • The learner has a "Pause" button: while paused, time is not recorded.
